About
ARTAMIND Photography by Arina Kogan | Buffalo, NY
My love for photography comes from curiosity and connection. I enjoy street photography when I travel, still life when I slow down, and portraits more than anything else. My greatest passion is people: their eyes, their emotions, and the stories they carry. Whether it’s a stranger on the streets of Paris or New York, a child’s first Christmas, a first official portrait, or a graduation moment, I believe genuine emotion is what turns a photograph into a lasting memory. I’m here to walk you through that journey.
Before photography, I spent many years working in marketing and studying psychology. In both disciplines, you learn one essential truth: it’s never about the item or the product—it’s about how the interaction makes you feel. What truly matters is the emotion it creates, the insight it brings, and how it stays with you. Photography works the same way.
A great photoshoot isn’t just about the final image. Today, anyone can take a selfie, use AI, or add a filter. What truly matters is the experience—the process, the atmosphere, and how the session changes the way you feel about yourself. A photoshoot should feel like a journey, not a transaction.
My approach is built on high standards of client care and a deep focus on your needs. When you work with me, you won’t get a rushed session and a few images to post online. We go through the entire process together—from ideas and mood boards to choosing the final pictures. During the shoot, I guide you gently with posing and direction, so it feels comfortable, collaborative, and fun. Afterward, we select images together for retouching and, if you wish, for a photo book.
Below, you’ll find examples of my work, as well as additional images in the Portfolio section of this website.
